PACT Offers New Stryker Grant Program
The Power-PRO XT is an innovative battery-powered hydraulic system that raises and lowers the patient with the touch of a button. The industry-leading Stryker Power-PRO XT powered ambulance cot dramatically reduces strenuous lifting and the associated risk of back injury. Medics experience frequent spinal loading due to repetitive motions such as lifting, lowering, carrying, and bending. Use of the Power-PRO XT has proven to reduce spinal loading, resulting in reduced injuries, lost or modified workdays, and workers’ compensation costs, and increased recruitment and retention. EMS Transport Agencies may download the grant application here.
In addition to the EMS Transport Grant, PACT is also offering non-EMS transport members funding for Stryker Evacuation Chairs. The Stryker Evacuation Chair is essential for the evacuation of disabled or injured persons weighing up to 500 pounds, from multilevel facilities in emergency situations. The patented Stair-TREADâ„¢ tracks allow easy evacuation down stairs by a single operator, for passengers weighing up to 200 pounds. The extendable handle allows the operator to have a forwardfacing, upright posture for balance, line of sight and ergonomic safety. Non-EMS/transport municipalities interested in the evacuation chair may download a grant application by clicking here.
