What is the POOL/PACT Human Resources Leadership Conference?

It is an annual event hosted by POOL/PACT Human Resources which helps members to connect with each other, learn the latest in employment best practices for public sector, and develop their personal leadership skills.

The 2025 HR Leadership Conference takes place at the Tahoe Blue Event Center in Stateline, NV. The conferences starts with a preconference afternoon session on October 14, followed by the main event on October 15 and 15, 2025.

POOL/PACT member employees who work in Human Resources and other organizational leaders who are involved in creating and managing employment practices (e.g. City or County Managers, Superintendents, Department leaders)

The conference is not advertised to the public; however, if you are not a member of POOL/PACT and are interested in attending, you may contact us at hrtraining@poolpact.com to inquire further.

The conference is FREE to all POOL/PACT members. The registration link is on the main website menu.

Yes, for each full day of the conference we will provide a light continential breakfast (typically beverages and pastries), and a full lunch.

*If you have special dietary needs, please inform POOL/PACT staff at least two weeks prior to the event. 

On the first full day of the conference we will also host a late afternoon reception which will include cocktails and snacks. 

 

No meals will be served at the preconference sessions.

We also host round table sessions in which members can discuss common issues and work together to share ideas and solutions. 

Yes, this event is eligible for HR recertification credits with SHRM and HRCI. The event codes will be emailed out to participants after the event. Please see our educational credits page for details.

The preconference session is generally a half-day the afternoon before the first full day of the conference, followed by two full days of conference sessions which generally start a 8AM and end by 4:30 PM. There will be short breaks in the morning and afternoon, and a longer mid-day break for lunch. Check our Agenda page for a detailed schedule and session details.

Yes, most of our speakers and presenters provide access to their handouts and slides. The materials available will be posted in the session summaries listed on the Daily Agenda page
