Nevada OSHA Heat Illness Regulation Approved

On January 29, 2025, Nevada OSHA released guidance on regulation R131-24 requiring employers to implement Heat-Illness Prevention Plans and conduct Job Hazard Analyses (JHA) for work environments with potential heat-related risks. This regulation aims to protect workers from heat-related illnesses by ensuring proactive safety measures are in place.

 

To assist member in achieving compliance, POOL/PACT developed the following resources:

• Model Heat-Illness Prevention Plan – A customizable template designed to help organizations establish effective policies and procedures.

• Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) Form – A structured form to assess and mitigate heat-related risks in the workplace.

• eLearning-Based Training Course – An interactive training module to educate employees on recognizing, preventing, and responding to heat-related illnesses.
