White Pine County School District Recognized for Excellence in Enterprise Risk Management
ELY, Nev. (June 27, 2025) — The White Pine County School District has received the Enterprise Risk Management Excellence Program (ERMEP) Award from the POOL/PACT Enterprise Risk Management Committee, recognizing the district’s outstanding commitment to protecting the health, safety and welfare of its students, staff and the broader community.
The award follows a comprehensive independent assessment that evaluated the district’s operations against industry best practices in enterprise risk management. Through POOL/PACT’s structured, multi-phase review process, the district earned Conditional Award status for successfully implementing key components of the program.
Additional best-practice policies are currently undergoing review and are expected to be adopted by the district’s board by Oct. 1. Once complete, the district will become eligible for enhanced program benefits, including a monetary award of $10,375 to support future risk management initiatives.
Founded in 1996, POOL/PACT is a nonprofit organization representing more than 140 public entities across Nevada. The ERMEP program was created to encourage strong governance, safety standards and operational best practices across local government organizations through in-depth departmental reviews.
