Asbestos Awareness for K12 – Full Two Hour Course
The course provides staff members with an overview of asbestos, and how to follow proper procedures needed to ensure everyone’s safety. Topics include: asbestos regulations and schools, origins of asbestos, uses of asbestos, health risks, asbestos abatement and the role of staff. This is a 2 hour version of asbestos awareness designed to meet the AHERA requirements.
Electrical Safety General Awareness
Spark discussion with your team on effective ways to recognize, evaluate, and avoid electrical hazards. Topics covered include personal protective equipment related to electrical safety, OSHA requirements for working on equipment, and electrical injuries such as shocks, burns, electrocutions, and falls. This course is 16 minutes
Ergonomics For Office Environments
Cumulative Trauma Disorders (CTDs) are a type of musculoskeletal disorder that affects the nerves, tendons, muscles, and supporting structures of the body. They’re often caused by repetitive motions, awkward postures, holding static positions for extended periods of time and contact stress while working. This course reviews techniques to improve posture, describes stretching exercises to reduce the chance of injury, and provides instruction on proper workspace arrangement including your chair, table, and computer terminal. It also discusses how to use ergonomic best practices if you’re working at home or on the go. This course is 29 minutes.
Fire Prevention Planning for Schools
This course discusses fire prevention planning, covering OSHA/NFPA compliance, hazard identification, emergency action plans (EAPs), evacuation procedures (like Stop, Drop, & Roll), and maintaining fire safety equipment (alarms, sprinklers, extinguishers), helping districts create robust, documented safety programs for staff and students to mitigate risks and ensure readiness. This course is 30 minutes.
Lead-Based Paint Safety
This course covers basic guidelines and best practices for working safely around lead-based paint. Even though U.S. legislation passed in 1978 has dramatically limited the allowable lead levels in paint, lead-based paint is still present in many residential and commercial buildings. Based on OSHA standards set forth in 29-CFR 1910.1025 related to lead exposure in the workplace, this course is designed to help workers recognize and avoid the hazards associated with lead-based paint. This course is 30 minutes.
Maintaining Forklift Safety
Contains basic forklift operating procedures intended to increase safety and help prevent the most common forklift accidents. NOTE: This course provides staff members with an overview of important safety procedures to be used when operating any forklift. This course is not intended to replace hands-on training for the specific forklift that you will be using at your job. You must receive hands-on training on the safe use of the specific type and model of forklift from a qualified trainer. Provides information on the most common types of forklifts used in general industry and warehouse environments. Includes important information required by OSHA’s general industry standards (29 CFR 1910.178) as well as best practices on operating powered industrial trucks. This course is 53 minutes.

Industrial facilities rely heavily on complex equipment. To run efficiently and effectively, the equipment needs regular maintenance. However, performing maintenance can introduce many safety hazards. This course addresses best practices for safely maintaining and repairing equipment. This course is 28 minutes.
Occupational Safety Training Introduction to OSHA
Many of the health and safety programs and procedures in this Health and Safety Guide are derived from federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations. This course provides you with some background information about OSHA and OSHA standards, inspections, citations, and penalties. At the end of this course, you will be able to distinguish between the role of OSHA and the role of the office of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS). This course provides employees with essential guidance on preventing workplace slip, trip, and fall incidents, one of the most common causes of injury across all industries. Learners will explore practical strategies for navigating slippery or uneven surfaces, recognizing and avoiding trip hazards, and following safety protocols designed to reduce fall risks. The course also emphasizes the importance of maintaining a clean and organized work environment, wearing appropriate footwear, and adhering to organizational safety policies. This course is 17 minutes
Severe Storms: Wind, Water, and Hail Intrusion
In recent years, the United States has experienced a surge in severe weather, including thunderstorms, extreme winter storms, and torrential rain. Water, wind, and hail have emerged as the main culprits behind the substantial losses incurred during such events. In this course you will learn how to prepare for and lessen the impact of severe storms, such as wind, water, and hail intrusion. This course will also present an explanation on filing post-storm insurance claims. This course is 18 minutes.
Storage and Handling of Corrosives
Corrosives are substances that damage or destroy other substances on contact. Most are strong acids, strong bases, or concentrated solutions of weak acids or weak bases. To safely store and handle corrosives, read the container labels and safety data sheets, and follow the requirements and precautions they contain. Also follow the storage and handling best practices for hazardous chemicals and corrosives for your workplace and listed in this course, and keep an accurate inventory at all times. This course is 30 minutes.
Trenching and Excavation Safety
This course covers safe work practices for excavation and trenching work. It is meant to be used as an introductory or refresher course for construction workers involved in digging or working in an excavation. It is based on OSHA Construction regulations and industry best practices. This course is 30 minutes.
Bloodborne Pathogens Exposure Prevention (new and updated)
Working in any environment with a high concentration of people can increase the risk of exposure to germs and infectious agents on a daily basis. Specifically, bodily fluids can put you in danger of infection. Bloodborne pathogens are infectious microorganisms in human blood that can cause disease. This course is OSHA-aligned and designed to provide teachers and school staff with an overview of the dangers posed by bloodborne pathogens, safety procedures for handling bloodborne pathogens, and information about protecting staff and students from infection. Federal Acquisition Regulation Overview
This course for Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) was created to address ethical conduct in the development of government contracts. The course details how government employees, contractors and subcontractors should conduct themselves when working on projects that involve millions of dollars and hundreds, if not thousands, of jobs. Instituted by the Federal Acquisition Regulation System in December 2007, the Contractor Code of Business Ethics and Conduct gives extra protection to U.S. taxpayer dollars by requiring that contractors publish and adhere to a written code of ethics. This course explores the intricacies of the code, and explains the professional and ethical manner in which everyone involved in carrying out government contracts should conduct themselves when they do business. This course is 1 hour.

Misconduct of any kind can affect a person’s well-being, athletic performance, and academic goals, as well as team dynamics. This behavior includes intimate partner violence, sexual harassment, stalking and sexual assault, as well as hazing and bullying. This course is designed to discuss the effects of misconduct, including sexual assault throughout athletic programs. This course is 37 minutes.
Supporting Employee Wellbeing for Supervisors
Mental health awareness at work is the recognition and understanding of the impact of mental health issues on your staff and the school. This course helps student organization leaders and members build a healthier, more supportive culture around mental well-being. Participants will learn what mental well-being looks like in real life, how stress and burnout show up in student groups, and how to spot early warning signs in themselves and others. The course covers practical tools for staying balanced during busy seasons, creating inclusive and psychologically safe meetings and events, and having supportive conversations—plus when and how to connect someone with campus resources. By the end, student organizations will have clear strategies to reduce stigma, strengthen peer support, and promote well-being without trying to “be the counselor.” This course is 30 minutes.

This course helps faculty, staff, and student-facing leaders better understand how financial insecurity can impact a student’s academics, health, and sense of belonging. Youth Suicide: Awareness, Prevention and Postvention
The goal of this course is to provide K-12 staff members with information that will help them reduce the likelihood of suicide among students. This course covers the scope of the problem of youth suicide, common risk factors related to youth suicide, successful strategies for youth suicide prevention, the immediate steps a staff member should take if they encounter a student who is threatening suicide, and best practices for intervention after a suicide (“postvention”). Practical Strategies for Accommodations
As schools aim to make campuses more accessible to students with disabilities, we must also consider how we can make our classrooms accessible. Proactively designing your courses to be accessible reduces the amount of work needed to support a student with a disability in your course. Sometimes, however, supportive teaching practices won’t meet all your students’ needs. In these instances, students with disabilities will need specific accommodations to use and interact with the various parts of your course. This module will help you understand the accommodation process for students and provide best practices to treat students with disabilities enrolled in your courses with respect.
Preventing Intersection Collisions – Cross Traffic
Intersections are one of the most dangerous locations on any roadway. You should pay particular attention to the cross traffic as you approach the intersection. Cross traffic includes all road users that are traveling on the intersecting road and may cross or enter your path. This course will identify common contributing factors to cross traffic intersection collisions and strategies to prevent intersection collisions due to cross traffic. This course is 25 minutes.

More than 25 percent of all car crashes are rear-end collisions. A rear-end crash occurs when the front of one vehicle comes into contact with the rear of another vehicle. This course will describe contributing factors to rear-end crashes and identify strategies to prevent rear-ending or being rear-ended by another vehicle. This course is 25 minutes.
Preventing Intersection Collisions – Turning
Intersections are one of the most dangerous locations on the roadway. Research has shown that a large number of crashes every year occur in an intersection or are intersection-related. This course identifies intersection hazards and strategies to prevent crashes in intersections. This course is 25 minutes.
Preventing Loss of Control Crashes
Have you ever unexpectedly lost control of your vehicle while driving? Perhaps you lost control of your vehicle in inclement weather. Maybe it was raining hard and you applied the brakes suddenly, or you crossed a bridge that was covered with ice. Or, maybe you lost control because you had to suddenly steer to avoid hitting another vehicle or object. If so, you are not alone. These are all common factors that lead to loss of control events. This course will identify common loss of control crashes and then discuss ways to reduce loss of control and how to regain control.
Preventing Sideswipe Collisions
Have you ever noticed another vehicle drifting slowing across the lane line into your lane? Or perhaps your vehicle was the one unintentionally crossing the lane line into another lane? If so, you are not alone, this is a common sideswipe crash scenario. This course will identify potential hazards that may lead to sideswipe crashes and best practices for avoiding those hazards. This course is 25 minutes.
Travel Security
When traveling there are many safety and security concerns. The best way to minimize the risks is to plan ahead to be better prepared to deal with it, or better yet, prevent it from occurring in the first place. The goal of this course is to make you aware of some of the most common threats you may encounter while traveling, how to prevent incidents, and what to do if something does go wrong. This course is 30 minutes.
