The Carson Valley Swim Center (CVSC) has been awarded the prestigious Loss Control Excellence Program Award (LCEP) for its demonstration of excellence in risk management and commitment to the health, safety, and welfare of its staff and the public it serves.   

The LCEP Award can only be achieved after a rigorous and comprehensive review of an entity’s policy and procedures which shows adherence to risk management best practices.  The review is conducted through an independent audit by professional risk experts.  

This year’s award includes a recognition plaque featuring the photography of local artist, Vivian Powers, in addition to a grant check for Three Thousand Two Hundred Dollars ($3,200.00).  The grant is to help continue and further the excellence CVSC’s safety and public service management.

The following CVSC personnel were involved throughout the thorough and extensive audit process:

Harris noted: “The management staff at CVSC is constantly striving to make sure that our programs and policies are the best they can be for the benefit of our staff and citizens we serve.  Going through POOL/PACT’s rigorous Loss Control Excellence Program audit confirmed that in most areas we were.

The POOL/PACT Risk Management Staff who conducted the audit were professional and skilled in risk management best practices and we appreciate their dedication and hard work.  We did adopt and modify our polices where needed.  We try to instill in every employee CVSC’s mission statement:

The Carson Valley Swim Center will deliver:  a safe, customer-service driven environment, innovative programming that is responsive to the needs of our diverse community, and a clean and well-managed facility.

This prestigious award from an independent auditing agency shows that we really mean it.”

Chairman of the Board, Frank Dressel complimented Harris’ thanks by adding, “We are proud to be recognized by POOL/PACT for this important honor, in addition to the grant and commemorative artwork reminder”.
