Today, February 10, 2022, Governor Sisolak issued Emergency Directive 052 which rescinded the mask mandate statewide effectively immediately. Local health authorities, local government entities, school districts, and other businesses may still enact policies requiring the use of face coverings; and individuals may choose to continue wearing face coverings. On Tuesday, January 25, 2022, the Biden administration announced the withdrawal of the OSHA’s vaccinate-or-test Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS). However, the ETS is not being withdrawn as a proposed rule, rather, OSHA will focus its resources on promulgating a permanent rule rather than an ETS.
On Thursday, January 13, 2022, in a 6-3 split, the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) halted enforcement of the Federal OSHA’s controversial Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS).

The 81st session of the Nevada Legislature began this week on February 1, 2021, and will end on May 31, 2021. As during previous sessions, POOL/PACT Human Resources will be tracking and summarizing bills that may be relevant to our members’ employment policies and practices.
